I hold a certificate (Girling and Fraser) in the advanced veterinary nursing of reptiles and amphibians (APVN-Herp) which I obtained in 2023.
I am an MSD diabetes pet advisor (2024) and Hills Nutrition Ambassador (2022).
Clinical supervisor experience with Vetskill with their updated syllabus (since 2023).
Previous experience in small animal first opinion practice. Fundamental and practised skills in emergency and critical care, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia, inpatient care, dispensary and laboratory work.
Plentiful experience in out of hours, house visits, weekend and solo work as well as reception and administration based duties.
Established knowledge in exotic and wildlife nursing.
Confident in wide variety of nursing consultations; weight/nutrition/OA/diabetic clinics, librela/cytopoint, dental checks, routine neutering or dental post operative checks or non routine surgical procedure rechecks (e.g. post orthopaedic surgery; TPLO, non-routine surgical wounds; stitch ups/exlap), nail clipping, anal gland expression, medication administration, 6 month health checks, junior clinics, puppy clinics, 2nd vaccinations, 3rd vaccinations.
Have previously had first aid training with St Johns Ambulance Service.
Compliant with CPD and RCVS registration.

Own transport and clean driving licence (van with a walk in kennel and two smaller kennels) with business insurance.

Cover across the Bedford/Milton Keynes/Northamptonshire area but will consider areas further away dependent on availability and accomodation.
